Why Wabi-Sabi? Why Pilates?

Welcome to Wabi-Sabi Pilates & Wellbeing

At Wabi-Sabi, we believe movement should feel good, not perfect. We offer thoughtful, equipment and mat-based Pilates that supports strength, mobility, and real-life functionality—so you can move with more ease in your body, and more confidence in your day-to-day life.

Why Wabi-Sabi? The name comes from a Japanese concept that honors the natural beauty in things that are lived-in, imperfect, and always changing. We chose it because it reflects how we approach Pilates—and how we see the people who walk through our doors. This practice isn’t about flawless form or rigid goals. It’s about building awareness, strength, and resilience over time, and appreciating the small shifts along the way. At Wabi-Sabi Pilates, we embrace the idea that real growth happens when we stop striving for perfection and start showing up, just as we are.

Our studio is a space where every body is welcome. Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or a longtime mover, we’re here to support you with personalized attention, expert instruction, and a warm, grounded approach to movement.

"I absolutely enjoyed and benefited from working with Kelly as a coach over a period of several months. She was kind, genuine, really easy to connect with, and gave me lots of useful and meaningful reflections. I felt like I was spending time with a friend, in a comfortable and honest way, while also being encouraged to look deeply within myself to find solutions to some of the challenges I was facing. I felt Kelly's coaching style was incredibly warm and heart-felt, while also having clarity and professionalism I found very supportive. I had been skeptical of what coaching could do for me, and had some (misguided) judgements. After working with Kelly, I think most people could benefit from working with a coach for any period of time! For me, the space to share honestly with someone who was really listening for my benefit gave me the opportunity to navigate some difficult truths, and find solutions to those predicaments. I recommend Kelly 10 out of 10 as a coach! Her knowledge and caring nature are a winning combination for certain positive change. Thank you Kelly!"
