I wish I’d known about coaching….

Hello, I’m Kelly Gorder. I’m glad you’re here, and I’m here to help. I spent many years focusing on my career, living a full life and taking my health for granted.  Being an active person who ate well and had a great community wasn’t enough. A small car accident left me with with a big concussion, and suddenly all the things I’d done with ease were a struggle. Weird things started happening with my health and I couldn’t process information as quickly or accomplish as much in a day, yet nothing looked wrong on the outside. So, I kept pushing on, taking on more at my corporate exec job, and feeling worse and worse. I lacked a vision or goals relative to feeling better. While my health declined, I simply didn’t have the energy to figure it all out on my own. Finally, I hit a tipping point. Finding the skill set to foster a demanding career alongside feeling well and reconnecting with a community became my primary focus.

With some space and reflection, I eventually sought out coaching to help carve out my next, more balanced life chapter. Motivated by the changes I experienced, I got my Professional Coaching Certification through both the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches, as well as the International Coaching Federation.  This mindset would allow me to provide the most positive impact to organizations and individuals.  A coach doesn’t tell someone the changes to make.  Instead, they hold space to learn and offer reflections for someone to connect to their own intuition.  If I had worked with a coach when things started unraveling, I truly believe I could have given myself years back.

Health, life and work can be quite intertwined.  Now, I look forward to working with anyone seeking a difference in any aspect of their life, figuring out where to start, and supporting their path towards change for the better.

I still work with a coach regularly!  This investment helps me prioritize hiking with my two dogs, teaching Pilates, going to kickboxing classes, cooking, learning to knit and traveling to see friends or on solo adventures.  Finding this balance allows me to fully support individuals through 1-on-1 coaching or as a consultant to companies and organizations.

Please reach out!  I’d love to learn more about you and how working together could help you or your organization create a path forward.

I strive to create a safe space for those experiencing any form of marginalization, not limited to those who identify as LGBTQ2S+, persons with disabilities, folks of color, religion, and intersectional lived experiences.
