Kelly Gorder Well & Good Health Life Work

Maybe you don't know what kind of work you should be doing in the world. Maybe you think everyone else has it figured out. (They don't.) Your work is being yourself, offering what you can to others. You've been doing it along. Now do it with intention.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur or manage a team in a corporation, odds are what was important 5, 10 or 20 years ago is very different than where you are now.  As other aspects of our life change, how our careers fit into it all also evolves.

“In a person’s lifetime, they will work on average 90,000 hours. Over the course of a typical 50-year employment stint, almost a quarter of a person’s time is spent at work.” (Source: 17 Remarkable Career Change Statistics to Know 2022)

Given how much time and energy we devote to our careers, we deserve to have those hours well spent with purpose and intention.  Whether it’s a career change or seeking personal development for a new job, coaching can help clarify what is important. Identifying your strengths, values and priorities can offer a lot of clarity and motivation for the next steps.

How Can Coaching Support My Career?

If you’re here, your job is likely really important to you.  Our careers can be a big reflection on who we are, what’s important and our life’s purpose.  When that all becomes unbalanced, or our personal values no longer line up with the organization we work for (even if it’s our own!), it’s helpful to work with a coach to pull out what isn’t feeling right, what optimal looks like, and steps to get there.  If you’re facing any of the following, coaching can support you in building tools and confidence to move forward:

  • You’ve had a life change (e.g. growing your family) that makes your current role or company no longer a good fit

  • Your company's philosophy no longer lines up with your personal values

  • You feel stagnant and are looking for some energy and focus to get to the next step

  • There’s been a downsize or restructure and you’ve been let go; you’re seeking support and a roadmap for your next chapter

  • When you’re looking at retirement or semi-retirement and unsure what it means to be without a job, or the identity that comes with your current role

  • You’re entering or re-entering the job market and it’s all just a bit overwhelming

We found great value in Kelly working with our company. She has supported our team both in facilitating group projects as well working one-on-one with team members. Kelly was flexible, positive and customized her approach to instill confidence and possibility into our team's mindset. Kelly's multi-faceted background allows her to be an empathetic and effective thought partner, while encouraging innovation and forward thinking.
